First Time DMing thoughts

  • Me: These guys are my closest friends, they'll be forgiving if I screw up at first
  • Me: These guys are my closest friends! They'll tease the hell out of me if I screw up!
  • Me: What if I make them roll too often?
  • Me: What if I don't roll enough?
  • Me: WHAT'S THE MAJOR EXPORT OF THIS COUNTRY?!!!!!
  • Me: What if I don't have enough planned?
  • Me: What if I overplan?!
  • Me: How do I make these damn NPC's?
  • Me: These NPC's are taking too long to make...but they're so much fun
  • Me: What if I can't improvise well?
  • Me: ....*curls into a ball and rocks back and forth* Why am I bothering when I know the players will completely subvert any plot?!
